LUT Cam

Terms of Use

Effective date: September 28, 2026

These terms cover the Android app LUT Cam: Cinematic Video, package app.filmode.lutcam, published by FightTech VN. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, uninstall the app. Where these terms and your country's mandatory consumer law disagree, the law wins.

1. What the app is

LUT Cam is a video camera. It applies a colour look (a 3D LUT) to the camera picture live, and records that picture, look included, to video files in your own storage. All processing happens on your device. There is no account and no cloud storage; the only online services it uses are Google's analytics and crash reporting, which you can switch off, and Google Play, which handles purchases.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial work alike. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, redistribute, resell or republish the app or any part of it, or remove its notices, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

3. Free and Pro

The app is free to download and has no advertising, no watermark and no time limit on clips. Recording at 720p and 1080p at 24 or 30 fps in H.264 with sound, the ten free looks, three imported looks, stabilization and every guide are free. LUT Cam Pro is optional and adds every curated look, 60 fps and 2160p where the phone's camera offers them, HEVC, and any number of imported looks. It is sold through Google Play as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the prices Google Play shows you before you buy.

Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions; cancelling keeps Pro open until the end of the period you paid for. If Google Play offers you a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. The lifetime purchase does not renew. Use Restore purchases in Settings to bring Pro back on a new phone signed in to the same Google account.

Pro looks and formats can be tried in the viewfinder without Pro; recording with them needs Pro. When Pro ends, those looks and formats lock again. Clips you already recorded are not affected. Every imported look stays on the phone; the three you imported first record as before, and the rest can still be tried live.

4. The looks and sample photos

The curated looks that come with the app are licensed to you for use inside the app. The clips you record with them are yours to use for any purpose, commercial or not, with no credit required. You may not extract the look files themselves to sell, share or republish them as a look pack or in another product.

The sample photos the look cards are drawn on belong to their photographers and are used under the Creative Commons licences listed on the home page and in the app under Settings → Photo credits. Those licences, not these terms, govern any use of the photos outside the app.

5. LUT files you import

Looks you import from .cube files are your own responsibility: import only files you have the right to use. We do not review them. The app reads the colour table from the file and applies it at the intensity you set; a file made for a different camera profile or colour space may not look the way its maker intended.

6. Your clips

Clips you record are yours. We claim no licence, ownership or interest in them, and we never receive them: the app never uploads a clip. You are responsible for what you film and share, including the consent of the people you record, the rules of the places you record in, and any music or other work that ends up in the sound.

7. Where clips are saved

Clips are saved to Movies/LUT Cam on your phone, and stay there when the app is removed. A single file stops at 4 GB; the clip is saved and you can record again. If you leave the app while recording, the recording stops and what you shot is saved. A recording can still be lost if the phone runs out of storage or power, or if the system ends the app, so keep important footage backed up.

8. Device capability

Which resolutions, frame rates, codecs and stabilization are available, and how the picture looks, depend on your phone's camera, graphics chip and video encoder, which vary by manufacturer. The app offers only what it finds on your phone, and tells you if the encoder refuses a format. We do not warrant that any particular format works on any particular device.

9. Third-party services

Purchases rely on Google Play, and usage and crash reports on Google's Firebase. We do not control those services. Links in the app to this website, to Google Play or to Wikimedia Commons open in your browser under those sites' own terms.

10. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a look will render the same on every device, or that a recording will be saved in every situation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FightTech VN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost footage, lost data or lost opportunities, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country that cannot be waived.

12. Changes and availability

We may update the app, change or remove features, or stop distributing it. Material changes to these terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date before they apply to a new release.

13. Privacy

The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms. In short: your clips never leave your phone, there is no account, and the only data sent to us is anonymous usage counts and crash reports, which you can switch off in Settings.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Vietnam have jurisdiction — except where the mandatory law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there.
